About

Thomas is a professional photographer, writer and blogger based in Dublin, Ireland. His photography spans street and travel photography, alongside an extensive portfolio of landscapes, nature and abstract work. With a background in design, animation and visual effects for television and film, his creative disciplines have always been closely connected, each influencing the way he sees and interprets the world.

Photography has long been a natural extension of Thomas's interest in the visual arts. The ability to capture a fleeting moment, preserve a particular atmosphere or reveal something that might otherwise go unnoticed has always fascinated him. Over time, his experience as a designer and visual artist has become an integral part of his photographic approach, combining technical knowledge with a strong sense of composition, colour and artistic expression.

Much of his photography is driven by a curiosity about the world around him. He is particularly drawn to the overlooked details of everyday life, finding interesting compositions, textures and patterns in places others might simply pass by. As an Irish photographer, he has a particular affection for the landscapes, streets and changing character of Ireland, especially his home city of Dublin. Equally, his enthusiasm for travel has taken him further afield, exploring unfamiliar places through both photography and writing.

Alongside his photographic work, Thomas is an experienced writer specialising in photography, digital imaging and photo-editing techniques. Through his photography websites and blog, he shares practical advice, tutorials, software reviews and commentary on the evolving world of digital photography, reaching thousands of readers internationally.

Thomas also brings extensive professional experience from the television and film industries. His motion graphics, animation and visual effects work has appeared on RTÉ, BBC and ITV, as well as in several film productions. His photography has been featured on book covers and in national advertising campaigns. He also contributes to iStockphoto and maintains an independent library of fine art and commercial photography available for licensing.

Whether he is exploring a city with a camera, working on a new photographic project or writing about the latest developments in digital imaging, his work is united by a continuing fascination with images, how they are created and the stories they can tell.
